How to use a printable check register

Keep a running record of money entering and leaving an account. Record each transaction once and compare your notes with the account statement.

Start with a checked opening balance
Choose the account label and enter a starting balance you have verified. Use large print if the standard rows feel cramped.
Record transactions in date order
Write the date and description. Put money spent in the payment column, money received in deposit, then calculate the new balance.
Compare with the statement
Mark transactions that appear on the statement and investigate differences. Carry the verified closing balance onto the next sheet.

Try this. The paper does not calculate balances automatically. For each row, add deposits and subtract payments from the previous balance.
