Choosing and using this paper
Choosing and printing this specification
The 8.7 mm spacing suits larger handwriting and worked answers with corrections. It leaves fewer writing bands than 7.1 mm ruling on the same sheet; choose the closer spacing when page capacity matters more.
How much space the layout gives you
Inside the page margins, the rules span 241.3 mm across and 177.8 mm vertically. There are 21 horizontal rules, creating 20 full writing bands. These counts describe the default sheet, before editor changes.
Paper and printer choice
Use US Letter stock for this preset. If you have A4, change the paper size in the editor before exporting. Resizing in the print dialog also resizes the grid or ruling. Check the margins against your hole punch before making multiple copies.
Questions about this format
- How can I check the printed spacing?
Print at 100% or Actual Size, then measure from one rule or dot to the one ten intervals away. That distance should be 87 mm for this 8.7 mm preset. Measuring ten intervals is easier than judging one small gap; exclude the thickness of the lines.
