Primary Lined Paper
With dashed lines to help letter writing
Choosing and using this paper
Choosing and printing this specification
Solid rules are 10 mm apart, with a dashed guide halfway between them. Use that middle guide to compare lowercase letter height with tall letters. This is not a three-zone handwriting sheet with a separate descender area.
How much space the layout gives you
Inside the page margins, the line area is 170 × 257 mm. The 26 solid rules create 25 full bands; dashed midlines help divide each band. Changing the sheet orientation or margins changes this capacity.
Paper and printer choice
Load A4 when using this preset. If your printer or binder uses US Letter, choose Letter in the editor before exporting; fitting an A4 PDF to Letter changes the spacing. Check where a hole punch will land before printing a stack.
Questions about this format
- How can I check the printed spacing?
Print at 100% or Actual Size, then measure from one rule or dot to the one ten intervals away. That distance should be 100 mm for this 10 mm preset. Measuring ten intervals is easier than judging one small gap; exclude the thickness of the lines.
