With 6.35 mm squares, digits and short labels fit more easily than on a fine 3.175 mm grid. Use the cells to align calculations or plots, and label your axes: a printed square does not assign a numerical scale.
How much space the layout gives you
The selected A4 sheet measures 210 × 297 mm in this orientation. Switching orientation changes the space across and down, while the cell or dot interval stays the same. Match the orientation to the shape of your chart or page layout.
Paper and printer choice
Load A4 when using this preset. If your printer or binder uses US Letter, choose Letter in the editor before exporting; fitting an A4 PDF to Letter changes the spacing. Check where a hole punch will land before printing a stack.

- How can I check the printed spacing?
Print at 100% or Actual Size, then measure from one rule or dot to the one ten intervals away. That distance should be 63.5 mm for this 6.35 mm preset. Measuring ten intervals is easier than judging one small gap; exclude the thickness of the lines.
